Three Ways How to Send an Anonymous Email

Three Ways How to Send an Anonymous Email

Borderless Internet

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) August 20, 2013

First of all, what does anonymous actually mean? Where internet computing is concerned, there are two main uses of the term.

The technical meaning of ‘anonymous’ is that the user’s IP address is removed from communication. Since a user’s IP address is the main give away of their identity, removing that IP address gives them an important level of privacy.

The second meaning of anonymous is the conventional one: that the user’s real name does not appear in the communication.

Here are three ways to send an anonymous email that applies to both of these definitions:

1. Set up an Outlook.com or Gmail account without divulging your credentials. These two email providers do not place your IP address in your email headers. This means, if you do not use your real name to set up an account, receivers will not be able to see who or where you are based unless you tell them. However, as the recent NSA controversy has shown, if government or law enforcement agencies have an interest in you, they may simply demand that your email provider hand over your IP address.

2. Set up and use a standard webmail account through an anonymous VPN or Web Master Proxy. If you follow the above procedure (1) but do so entirely through a proxy, neither your IP address nor your identity will ever be tied to that account.

This will ensure that even if a government agency does request access to the email records, they will not be able to locate or identify you. However, you should choose a VPN or proxy provider that is based in a country where there is no law requiring the service provider to record your IP address. VPN providers in EU countries are required to log your IP address as required by the EU Data Retention Directive. There is no law requiring companies in the US to do so.

3. Use an anonymous email sender. There are many free services which allow you to send an email anonymously without setting up an account. They will not include your IP address in the email headers of the correspondence you send.

Make sure to choose a provider based in a different country to your own and be careful not to disclose your identity by other means. The only downside of this option is that most anonymous email providers will only provide the ability to send email anonymously, but no capability to receive messages.

4th Floor Hotel – Modern Chic in the Cool Capital of the North

4th Floor Hotel – Modern Chic in the Cool Capital of the North

(PRWEB) February 11, 2007

The 4th Floor Hotel in Reykjavík is a recently improved boutique hotel with eighteen rooms and one Luxury suite. It could also bear the label of designer hotel, with a décor influenced by the best in modern trends in a soothing color scheme of white, black and brown. The rooms have an air of modern minimalism touched off by a fresh zebra patterned bed coverings, to create an atmosphere of comfort for winding off the stress after a hectic day.

The hotel stands at the corner of the streets Laugavegur and Snorrabraut and is well located with the city’s main bus station is just around the corner, and the center of Reykjavik, with the Reykjavík pond and Parliament building, an easy 600 m walk away. In the city center you will find boutiques, artist’s shops, museums, cafes and restaurants, offering the cuisine of different world kitchens as well as Icelandic dishes, many of which are of a very high international standard.

To reach the city center you can either go down the main shopping street of Laugavegur, whose miscellaneous shops stretch to right where the hotel is located, and on your way back walk up the Skólavörðustígur – with its many artisans galleries and the pointy Hallgrímskirkja church towering at its end – or you can amble the paved walkway along the seashore, turning left from where Snorrabraut ends at the seashore. This route features a wide mountain view towards the hallmark mountain Esjan, Skarðsheiði. You will also see the sculpture Sólfar, a ship-formed artwork inspired by old runes. The walkway also leads north, away from the center, to the art museum of Sigurjon Olafsson, about 2 km walk, with outdoor sculptures and stunning views.

The Reykjavik area has two large shopping malls offering the best in international brands. One of those, Kringlan, is 2,3 kilometers away from the Hotel. Among other must-sees is the Pearl – a space ship like construction perchedon a nearby hilltop – and the many public swimming pools, with hot pots filled with warm geothermal water giving its light odor of sulphur which is totally harmless.

The 4th Floor Hotel has six single, two double and one triple standard rooms, nine deluxe double rooms and one Luxury suite. All rooms come with luxury beds, wash basins, television, high-speed internet connection and blackout curtains. The deluxe rooms have additionally a bathroom with shower, and the luxury suite has a big walk-in shower and flat screen television. All rooms offer a view of the surroundings, enhanced by the fact that the hotel occupies the fourth floor of the building as the name implies. Wireless internet can also be accessed anywhere in the hotel, and there is a internet connected computer for guests to use. Breakfast is served in the dining room, and is not included in the room price. The hotel offers special tour and adventure packages, varied according to the season.

Outside Reykjavík the Land of Ice and Fire lures the visitor. Just 15 minutes drive from the hotel takes you into the rural area with many hiking trails. The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa and Krísuvík geothermal area in Reykjanes are good for a half-day trip. For a one-day trip, the golden circle of Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot springs and Thingvellir, the seat of Europe’s oldest parliament where the rift between the continental plates drifting apart can be clearly seen, is a classic choice. Further still from Reykjavík the tourist is greeted by a landscape of green grass, nice looking farms with white-plastic wrapped hay bales, then barren sands, bristly rivers and spraying waterfalls, mountains, shining glaciers and the occasional volcano (idle most of the time) flanked by burned lava fields. One quickly marks the curious absence of woods which gives a very wide vista anywhere, but the sighting of an elf or a troll is solely for the specially talented in that field. The nights are light as day in the summer, and northern lights show in the winter if one is lucky, the weather is ever changing, all of which gives the visitor an unforgettable experience.

If Iceland and its cool capital Reykjavík tempts you, contact the 4th Floor Hotel (website: http://www.4thfloorhotel.is) at telephone number +354 511 3030 or send an email. The fax number is +354 511 3033.
