the first thing to do is to plug your pc into the router using a cable, if
you can get on line you know for sure it’s a wireless problem. what did
    this video teach us ??????

  • Doctapper:

  • bockydo:

start from the ground up start with your wire is it the same type of wire
??? because there are 3 major diff types and they all do diff things
…..an easy way to determine this is to look at your coloring in your rj45
connectors ….. just google the types of wires hope this helps

  • Chad D:

I don’t understand why it is even necessary to go to the command prompt.
The second step will let you know if your connected or not. The big
question is “what do you do when you’ve done the “connect anyway” option
and it does not access the internet?

  • procax0:

that is like one of about three million problems…this isn’t even a
troubleshoot, since there isn’t trouble it just isn’t connected…

hi Dave but what if i have an Ethernet cable running from my 2wire modem
into the laptop and when i run “ipconfig” of “ipconfig /all” it still says
“cannot perform this while Media Disconnected” ??? i mean the reason why i
would run this in the first place is to see what ip address the computer is
picking up, it could be a modem or router who knows, costumers are
complicated, so i would like to know what should i do at this point??

  • James Plastina:

I know it’s XP. I was just making fun of your theme. XP is like 12 years
old now, but it is still a solid and fast OS.

Awesome was wondering if you could do this :)

  • Djim Thiam:

I have Samsung Galaxy I900 (android). What can I do for it ?

  • Lewis Green:

You can do this with the inbuilt software on the HTC Desire, you don’t need
to download extra apps on the phone. You just need HTC sync on the
computer, sync your phone, unplug, re attach, select share internet. Go to
settings, applications, development, check USB debugging and away you go.
You can even access secure websites which PDA will charge you for after 14
days. Using inbuilt is totally free (bar your data allowance). Unless you
are that bothered about a usb cable why do this?

  • vedranart:

I wonder that is it possible to do it in different way? I mean: – share PCs
network VIA BlueTooth – and connect your HTC Desire to PCs Tethered network
Via BT – surf on HTC using BT tethered network made on PC also I have two
HTCs, one is rooted and can go on Ad-Hoc, another one isn’t rooted, so, Is
there any way I can share a WiFi from first one, and connect another one
    VIA BlueTooth? Tnx! ;)

  • turnmeupyea:

can i get on my ps3 using this

  • vedranart:

    Will this work EVO 3d

  • Zublits:

Will this work on a Galaxy SII?

  • Lewis Green:

@TechstuffVoicePlus Ok fair enough, so its about the usb cable. I would
certainly do this if i wanted to drain my battery more (unless I have it
plugged in to the mains, which means another cable to get involved) . It
just seems to make more sense to me not to pay for internet access to
secure sites as PDA will charge and have my phone battery charging at the
same time instead of the blue tooth draining it. The battery doesn’t last
very long as it is. But thanks for the vid, i did try it out

  • jovistruck:

Is there any way to do it the other way round, using the comp’s internet
connection on my desire? (without having to use wifi).. using usb cable too
    would do if possible..

  • Michael Giffney:

@MrLewisgreen – The whole point is VIA bluetooth…

  • Cr4nKG4m3r:

Awesome. Thank you so much :)

  • James Plastina:

This guy needs to upgrade his OS bad. Looks like Windows 98.
