@T1TANGuild I see no reason why not! If you look at it from the customers
point of view you may have those customers who want to come in see one in
operation, test an application or two and leave right then with the PC.
Others may want the flexibility to select a SSD Drive, Higher Speed Ram,
Faster Graphics Card and so on.
Hows the business going? Great informational video.. I wish you the best ..
!!!!!
Hey Ike, I was wondering how many workers you have for PC repair pick up
and drop off. Ive just finished my computer hardware and networking course
and I want to one day start a business and I was also wondering if It would
be a good idea to start an online store before I start an actual physical
shop. pretty much any info would be of great help. thanks.
so could you open a computer store that you actualy make a pc and sell them
to the public?
thanx this video made me have hope bacause i am tired of working for the
man …..i want to b the man…..
I’d love to do something like this, but I live in a fairly small town,
mostly factories and a couple fast food restaurants. I’d imagine that it’s
very important to study your local town and possibly even take surveys to
make sure that it’s financially an option to open a computer store. There
used to be a computer store but it closed down before I ever got to see the
inside, I’m not even sure they sold many parts, could have just been a
computer repair store.
@whatasite thanks for replying, what i was thinking was ask the customers
what they would like in the pc. and then i would build it for them. so it
is completely a custom pc for them, plus include an engraving service too
Great video, lots of great information… one thing i would suggest, he
mentions presentation being a big key… most of the customers were wearing
button down shirts, and he’s wearing a “Tommy Hilfiger” t-shirt… while
t-shirts are fine in a business stand point, it’s a lot better to have a
button down shirt or polo. If you do have t-shirts go to the local shirt
printing shop and have them print your shop logo on the shirt… gives you
another marketing advertising means as well.
Great video, was also wondering if you could send me a list of your vendors
aswell
hey this video was very cool i am planning 2 open my computer soon because
i to am tired of working for other ppl to so i know if you can do it i can
to thanks alot you gave me more hope
@leeson44 Ike sold is computer store in Toronto and moved back to his home
country and opened another computer store.
Excellent glad to provide this information to help other potential computer
store owners. Kevin
You may need to arrange a Line of Credit so you can get the stock you need.
Many of the computer distributors want payment first before sending you any
stock.
great video , thanks for the tips
Thank you glad to help!
All the best with your plans to open a computer store. Kevin
hey how old do you have to be to even work in a computer shop? like what
are the requirments please. Mikey
I started my shop small, with only a 10K investment for the basic parts and
supplies. I didnt take a paycheck my first year and reinvested that back
into the business. I now have a nicer retail and repair shop with about
100K in inventory. the key is to not get your overhead, over your head.
That usually depends. There are some here that won’t hire you until you’re
18, but others will hire you at 14 for certain jobs.
Nice video, wish all the best…………..
I’m thinking about starting a business, I’ve finished with school and
everything, but my parents keep bringing me down saying I’ll never get
through it.. I’m still gonna stay focused as this is my main dream however
He wants to keep that list private, but the library does have a list of
vendor for computer parts. All the best, Kevin
Hey you can always start small, you can start a mobile computer repair
business. All the best, Kevin
Thanks EcoWhale, your input is appreciated. All the best, Kevin
If you have “finished with school and everything” why have your parents got
anything to do with your career?
