This is utterly mind-blowing. May someone please re-explain how quantum superposition can increase the speed of computing so tremendously (a problem that now takes million of years to solve could take a matter of seconds)? Thanks.. that’s really the part that amazed me the most.
very interesting , Thank You QC
I am really fascinated by technology and the room for growth, change and expansion. I can only imagine what the world will be like in another few years.
So Frickin Epic DUde … Jk
Wow ! Thank you ! Very interesting lecture ! Future for DNA ,and Math !
very delightful : )
Absolutely fascinating. Very enjoyable.
very interesting and informative, cant wait to be there in a few months time!!
I wish there was another video explaining quantum entanglement related to computing, however the idea of the quantum coin to explain superposition was really clever and effective…
great talk!
16:55 He admits Moore is ending.
Quantum computers are already in prototype stages for massive encryption mechanisms. Also 3D chips are in prototype.
……………..so if I buy a pc at this time, it will be the fastest pc for ever, and innless another technology is announced and built.
I really enjoyed this film, it was informative and Chris was very enjoyable to watch. He deserves that meddle. Quantum Computers, perhaps one day, but I am not holding my breath on the matter, as we have seen, many inventions on paper have not come to be reality, but many have also. Moore’s Law, says chips will end one day (although he has denied suggesting such a thing in the open) Maybe in just 5 or 10 years time……………………
excellent work!
now introducing the iDesk
stumbleupon sent me here…
@newcontakt Yeah but this was made in 2006.
imagine porn on this thing. jk
errr…. and this was posted in 2006… Good bye-television….hello multi-touchvision
I enjoy finding attitudes like yours which are to rare. Please take my salute to you.
@cjl85uk ahh ye, but even for 4 years ago…
what stage we at, 4 years on?
I sense iPad’s bigger brother
@dreaddog
right very valid point there you have, except this was made 4 years ago…
arthckr youve OBVIOUSLY havent heard of quantum computing!!!
Hardly the future, you can do all that now…
@FlareDemonReborn dude, go to bestbuy, and ask them for the touchsmart pcs. now, find microsoft surface in the start menu. lol!
dont know what people are talking about but i never seen this at any stores
2:33 is sick as shit and in 2006 dammm
lame
gay, fail of a video, waste of time
@flyboy959 oh let me guess, Iphones?
its funny how that looks like nothing compared to some of the stuff we have today
Holy shit i want one!!!!!!
what r those computers called? anyone know?
wow do they sale these???
Remember people this was in 2006, we are the future, now bring on more!!!
Computers double in power every 18 months. Soon about 2015 + computers will take considerably less to double in power.
Oh yeah. That would be nice in my living room. Actually, now that I think of it…I would love to play with that during commercial breaks!!! OMG!!! I want one now!
By the time my generation (This generation) is dead, technology will be 20x more advanced than today.
