Jesse N. Hill III Brings Award-Winning Business Coaching to San Diego’s North County with The Growth Coach

Jesse Hill III

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 02, 2014

Jesse Hill has been mentoring and consulting for his entire professional life. From serving as a leader and mentor in the US Navy to consulting a variety of companies in his civilian career, Jesse has valued his role in helping individuals and companies improve and meet their goals. Jesse is now looking forward to bringing that experience to his new business, The Growth Coach of San Diego North County.

The Growth Coach of San Diego North County serves San Diego, Cardiff, Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Vista and Escondido.

“If you want to positively impact the economy, you have to help create more jobs. When you’re a business coach, it all comes down to helping business owners and leaders find ways to build their businesses, create jobs and build a stronger economy locally and nationwide. I’m excited about doing that here in San Diego North County,” Jesse said.

The Growth Coach, the #1 business and sales coaching franchise in the country last year according to Entrepreneur Magazine, is dedicated to helping business leaders, small business owners, sales people and self-employed professionals find success at work and balance in life. Growth Coaches offer workshops, one-to-one coaching services, remote coaching delivered via phone and web, and coaching for special projects as well as alternative financing, business valuation services, web coaching, sales mapping and more.

Jesse served in the US Navy for more than decade before transitioning into consulting, where he worked with business owners, executives and managers of companies of all sizes to help them implement the changes they needed to move their business to the next level. His consulting skills have benefited companies including Brandes Investment Partners, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Avatech Solutions, Guru and Universal Computer Systems. Jesse is also the president of CAVU Enterprises, a small business investment, consulting and management organization in San Diego.

“In the Navy I spent my last tour of duty as an instructor at the Navy’s S-3B training command teaching and preparing young sailors for the rigors of combat flying. After my Naval career, I built a training and development department for a financial services company here in San Diego helping more than 350 people develop the skills they needed to be successful in their careers,” Jesse said.

From there Jesse launched his career as a technology consultant where he had the opportunity to help small and medium-sized business owners integrate new technologies to advance their business capabilities. During that time he also helped lead the expansion of a small e-commerce solutions company, recruiting, hiring, training and developing their sales force and leading sales teams to record breaking performance.

“My entire life has been committed to consulting, mentoring and leading. People have always felt comfortable coming to me with their challenges and goals and helping them is something for which I’ve developed a true passion. I’m at a point in my career now that I can do what I love – coach,” Jesse said.

Although he has vast experience in consulting and mentoring, Jesse decided to franchise with The Growth Coach because of the company’s world-class coaching programs and business support.

“If you ever wanted someone to look out for your best interests and help you to be more successful while finding balance, that’s me. I genuinely care about the goals and successes of my clients and the intrinsic value of business coaching is immeasurable. The Growth Coach provides me with the opportunity to work within my community to help the true heroes of our economy, our small and medium business owners, to achieve their personal and professional goals. I can’t think of a better way to spend the rest of my working life than helping those around me achieve their dreams,” Jesse said.

Janet Conn, who worked with Jesse at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, is excited about how his skills will transition into business coaching.

“Jesse is that rare combination of manager and thought leader. He has the ability to inspire his reports, stakeholders and peers with his enthusiasm, subject matter expertise and ability to ask targeted questions. His communication style is candid, good humored and professional. In a word: authentic,” she said.

The Growth Coach was founded in 2003, but the company’s leaders have a 20 year track record of successful business coaching. Recently, the franchise was included in Bond’s “Top 100 Franchises” and has been recognized in Entrepreneur Magazine’s “Franchise 500,” “Best of the Best” and “Top Home-Based Business” listings.

Brad Cooper Granted New Trial: North Carolina Supreme Court Denies PDR in Cooper Case

Brad Cooper Granted New Trial: North Carolina Supreme Court Denies PDR in Cooper Case

The Real Brad Cooper

Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) January 26, 2014

After considering a petition for discretionary review filed by the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office in “State v. Cooper”, the N.C. Supreme Court upheld the ruling of the N.C. Court of Appeals granting Brad Cooper a new trial. Cooper was found guilty in May 2011 of murdering his wife Nancy and was sentenced to life in prison without parole. The homicide rocked Cary, a Wake County town with a reputation for safety and the trial itself made national headlines.

Cooper’s conviction was overturned by the N.C. Court of Appeals because the defense was not allowed to present expert testimony in rebuttal to certain computer and internet evidence offered by the prosecution. The Court of Appeals held that this oversight by the trial court was egregious enough to warrant a new trial.

“This is a real victory for justice,” said Howard Kurtz, trial counsel for Mr. Cooper. “Brad absolutely deserves a new trial and everyone in our office is very excited about the Supreme Court’s decision.”

Mr. Kurtz, who headed Cooper’s defense team during the original trial (08 CRS 22922), is pleased that Brad is getting a second chance to go before a jury but doesn’t expect the trial to occur any time in the near future.

“The Cooper case was the longest non-capital trial to ever occur in Wake County,” Howard explains. “The first trial lasted for 10 weeks, and that was without allowing [the defense] to present the expert testimony that we wanted. This is not the type of case that anyone can be ready for overnight.”

In the meantime, the knowledge that there is still much left to do in the Cooper case is not stopping the defense team from celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision.

“Mr. Cooper still has a long road ahead of him and it will be some time before this case is set to rest once and for all,” remarked Seth Blum, Kurtz’s law partner and co-founder of Kurtz and Blum, PLLC. “That being said, we’re enormously pleased – this really is a step in the right direction.”

4th Floor Hotel – Modern Chic in the Cool Capital of the North

4th Floor Hotel – Modern Chic in the Cool Capital of the North

(PRWEB) February 11, 2007

The 4th Floor Hotel in Reykjavík is a recently improved boutique hotel with eighteen rooms and one Luxury suite. It could also bear the label of designer hotel, with a décor influenced by the best in modern trends in a soothing color scheme of white, black and brown. The rooms have an air of modern minimalism touched off by a fresh zebra patterned bed coverings, to create an atmosphere of comfort for winding off the stress after a hectic day.

The hotel stands at the corner of the streets Laugavegur and Snorrabraut and is well located with the city’s main bus station is just around the corner, and the center of Reykjavik, with the Reykjavík pond and Parliament building, an easy 600 m walk away. In the city center you will find boutiques, artist’s shops, museums, cafes and restaurants, offering the cuisine of different world kitchens as well as Icelandic dishes, many of which are of a very high international standard.

To reach the city center you can either go down the main shopping street of Laugavegur, whose miscellaneous shops stretch to right where the hotel is located, and on your way back walk up the Skólavörðustígur – with its many artisans galleries and the pointy Hallgrímskirkja church towering at its end – or you can amble the paved walkway along the seashore, turning left from where Snorrabraut ends at the seashore. This route features a wide mountain view towards the hallmark mountain Esjan, Skarðsheiði. You will also see the sculpture Sólfar, a ship-formed artwork inspired by old runes. The walkway also leads north, away from the center, to the art museum of Sigurjon Olafsson, about 2 km walk, with outdoor sculptures and stunning views.

The Reykjavik area has two large shopping malls offering the best in international brands. One of those, Kringlan, is 2,3 kilometers away from the Hotel. Among other must-sees is the Pearl – a space ship like construction perchedon a nearby hilltop – and the many public swimming pools, with hot pots filled with warm geothermal water giving its light odor of sulphur which is totally harmless.

The 4th Floor Hotel has six single, two double and one triple standard rooms, nine deluxe double rooms and one Luxury suite. All rooms come with luxury beds, wash basins, television, high-speed internet connection and blackout curtains. The deluxe rooms have additionally a bathroom with shower, and the luxury suite has a big walk-in shower and flat screen television. All rooms offer a view of the surroundings, enhanced by the fact that the hotel occupies the fourth floor of the building as the name implies. Wireless internet can also be accessed anywhere in the hotel, and there is a internet connected computer for guests to use. Breakfast is served in the dining room, and is not included in the room price. The hotel offers special tour and adventure packages, varied according to the season.

Outside Reykjavík the Land of Ice and Fire lures the visitor. Just 15 minutes drive from the hotel takes you into the rural area with many hiking trails. The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa and Krísuvík geothermal area in Reykjanes are good for a half-day trip. For a one-day trip, the golden circle of Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot springs and Thingvellir, the seat of Europe’s oldest parliament where the rift between the continental plates drifting apart can be clearly seen, is a classic choice. Further still from Reykjavík the tourist is greeted by a landscape of green grass, nice looking farms with white-plastic wrapped hay bales, then barren sands, bristly rivers and spraying waterfalls, mountains, shining glaciers and the occasional volcano (idle most of the time) flanked by burned lava fields. One quickly marks the curious absence of woods which gives a very wide vista anywhere, but the sighting of an elf or a troll is solely for the specially talented in that field. The nights are light as day in the summer, and northern lights show in the winter if one is lucky, the weather is ever changing, all of which gives the visitor an unforgettable experience.

If Iceland and its cool capital Reykjavík tempts you, contact the 4th Floor Hotel (website: http://www.4thfloorhotel.is) at telephone number +354 511 3030 or send an email. The fax number is +354 511 3033.
