Internet start-up, 10KWEB, announces a change in leadership for its Ivory Coast team. The team was founded and led by Guillaume Strezeleck, who himself was brought in by Paulo Gomes of 10KWEB-France. No reasons were given for Strezeleck’s departure. The new leader of 10KWEB-Ivory Coast is Pacome Flan, a local businessman.
Flan sees 10KWEB as an opportunity to breathe new life into the Ivory Coast economy, which was once the world’s largest exporter of cocoa, coffee and palm oil. Political turmoil, along with greater competition and falling prices on the global marketplace have caused the economy to suffer. One of the factors for the country’s steady economic growth has been the encouragement of foreign investment, which is where 10KWEB comes into play. Gomes, along with members of 10KWEB-France are currently planning a training mission to the Ivory Coast so that team members there can maximize their results on the internet.
10KWEB Co-Founder, Anthony Martins, is excited by Flan’s enthusiasm and vision, saying, “I’ve said it before but entrepreneurs like Flan are instrumental to bringing new ideas and new business to the world.
