Y.A.L.E. School, serving more than 500 students with a range of disabilities, has announced the opening of its newest campus in the Ellisburg section of Cherry Hill. The campus, located at the former Queen of Heaven parochial school on Connecticut Avenue and NJ Route 70, serves students 5 to 21 years of age with learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties.

At a ribbon cutting ceremony held in early May, school owner Chris Sarandoulias thanked community leaders for welcoming Y.A.L.E. School.

“We are thrilled to bring our program here to this beautiful campus, and wish to thank our friends and new neighbors for the warm welcome,” said Sarandoulias.

State Senator James Beach read a proclamation praising Y.A.L.E. for its work and the important role of private schools for students with disabilities.

Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the art educational technology, including computers and software for each student. The school has a well-equipped science classroom; a visual arts and graphic design lab; a large indoor multipurpose room with fitness area for physical education; an auditorium; a kitchen; a nurse’s office, and more.

About Y.A.L.E. School: Established in 1976, Y.A.L.E. School is a New Jersey state-approved private school for students with disabilities. Y.A.L.E. School provides a positive approach to learning for students with disabilities 3 to 21 years of age who need a specialized setting in order to benefit from special education. School’s 12 campuses, located throughout southern and central New Jersey and the Philadelphia metropolitan area, offer a flexible continuum of educational and support services to meet the needs of a wide range of students across their entire academic career.
