FileApp 4, the iPhone File Manager Rewritten and Redesigned

FileApp 4, the iPhone File Manager Rewritten and Redesigned

FileApp 4 – The iPhone & iPad File System

Geneva, Switzerland & Geraldton, Australia (PRWEB) February 14, 2014

FileApp’s fourth and latest version has been released on the App Store. Embracing the new iOS 7 interface design style, the app now reveals a totally uncluttered interface. Leaving aside aesthetic considerations this restyling renders the app easier to use as ever before.

The simplified Home screen has a new Sharing button giving access to all file sharing options. An all new computer browser file sharing feature has been added to allow the drag and drop of multiple files wirelessly from a computer’s Internet browser directly into FileApp. Now both Http and Ftp file sharing modes can be protected with a username and passcode.

A new swipe gesture to reveal file actions and file deletion has also been implemented. The photo picker has been tweaked to better add multiple images to FileApp from the device’s photo library. To ensure the broadest PDF support the dual PDF reader option has been restored, allowing the use of the iOS built-in or the custom annotation PDF editor freshly revised for iOS 7.

Instead of offering a “lite” and a Pro version the In-App purchase model allows for easier app trial, simplified upgrade and fair pricing. The premium features are now offered through a choice of 3 premium features Add-On packs, allowing users to customize the app according to their needs. DigiDNA will now keep its focus on a single app and FileApp Pro users are encouraged to migrate to the New FileApp where they will get all features they previously owned for free. (This feature itself is a technical premiere that has been already noted by several tech writers; for more details please read our latest blog post.)

Two easy ways of transferring data from FileApp Pro have been designed. One method works using a computer – with DiskAid through an automated migration tool (DiskAid desktop client for Mac OS X and for Windows PC is available on DigiDNA’s website – no license purchase or registration required). The other way is simply achieved on the device using FileApp Pro Zip archive creation and Open-In feature (this method is explained in a dedicated support forum entry).

With the new FileApp, DigiDNA has gone all out on iPhone file storage performance. The whole app has been rewritten to offer the most stable and reliable FileApp ever. Moreover thanks to the merge between FileApp Pro and FileApp the Development Team is now focused on a new and modular single app that will allow them to quickly release new exciting features in the upcoming months.

About FileApp 4:

The new FileApp (4) is a universal iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, it can be downloaded and updated for free on the Apple App Store. FileApp Pro users are invited to get FileApp 4 as a separate download and get all existing Add-Ons for free.

About DigiDNA:

DigiDNA is an independent software developer incorporated in 2008 Geneva, Switzerland. In 2011 a fully owned subsidiary was opened in Western Australia. In 2013 the company and its products were granted the Swiss Label. DigiDNA’s software proudly carries the crossbow – symbolizing Swiss precision work and quality products.

DigiDNA is committed to helping users get the most out of their Apple mobile devices by providing innovative device management solutions and efficient data transfer software both in the App Store with FileApp and with DiskAid as its standalone a desktop application for Mac and PC.

Baron and Budd Celebrates Women?s History Month

Baron and Budd Celebrates Women’s History Month

Women’s Health Team at Baron & Budd

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 14, 2014

March is Women’s History Month, and the national law firm of Baron and Budd would like to recognize the incredible contributions women have made to this country. Our firm is committed to fighting for the rights of women who have been harmed due to dangerous pharmaceutical products. The Women’s Health Team at Baron and Budd works passionately to provide valuable resources to women who have been harmed and to assist these women in taking legal action against the pharmaceutical companies that allegedly harmed them.

According to a study from the American Association for Justice, women tend to be suffer more harm from prescription drugs and devices than men because, generally, women are not included in drug trials. Yet, women tend to use more pharmaceutical products than men.

In 1981, Congress authorized then-President Reagan to proclaim the week of March 7, 1982 as Women’s History Week. After being petitioned by the National Women’s History Project, Congress designated the entire month of March as Women’s History Monty in 1987. The designation honors those who have fought for women’s rights in areas such as the equality regarding access to health care and education, the right to vote and many others.

Our Women’s Health Team contributes by working closely with women who have been harmed due to the negligence of large pharmaceutical companies. Below are just some of the areas where we help women who have been harmed.

Transvaginal Mesh – This is a device that is typically used to treat urinary incontinence in women. However, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned that transvaginal mesh can lead to several serious and painful issues, including infection, bowel, bladder and blood vessel perforation, and several others.

Zoloft – Zoloft is an antidepressant that was marketed as a safe drug that didn’t have the side effects of similar medications such as Prozac. However, the FDA issued a Public Health Advisory warning in 2005 regarding a link between use of certain antidepressants such as Zoloft during pregnancy and the development of septal defects in children, a potentially life-threatening condition. In 2007, the New England Journal of Medicine published an article stating that women who took the drug during pregnancy had twice the risk of having babies born with the defect. (http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa067407).

Lipitor – This cholesterol-lowering medication has been allegedly linked to an increased risk of diabetes in women, as well as kidney failure and muscle and liver problems.

“We will never stop working for women who have been hurt by taking medications and using devices they thought would help them,” said Russell Budd, managing director of law firm Baron and Budd. “Women should not have to worry about prescription safety.”

The national law firm of Baron and Budd may be able to help if you or a loved one has suffered due to the use of a pharmaceutical medication or device. Give us a call at 866-472-9108 or visit our website at http://baronandbudd.com to learn more.

BBB Warning: Microsoft Ends Support of XP

BBB Warning: Microsoft Ends Support of XP

Arlington, VA (PRWEB) April 07, 2014

Microsoft Corporation is no longer providing support for Windows XP, and Better Business Bureau is warning consumers and businesses that they need to take immediate steps to secure their computers and data.

Starting April 8, 2014, the company will not provide technical support or security updates for the 12-year-old XP operating system, or for its Office 2003 software suite (which includes Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). This means users will become more vulnerable to computer viruses and malware. Some security experts have speculated that scammers are waiting to launch XP attacks after support ends, so there may be an increase in malware activity in the coming weeks and months.

Better Business Bureau is offering consumers and businesses the following tips:

Determine whether or not your computer operating system can be upgraded. Microsoft offers extensive information and the Windows Upgrade Assistant on its website at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enterprise/end-of-support.aspx.

Older computers likely will not be able to run Windows 8, the latest version of the operating system. You may want to look at upgrading to an earlier version such as Windows 7, which is still be supported by the company.

If you can’t update your operating system at all, you should think about replacing your computer. It would be a good idea to disconnect your computer from the Internet so that you are not vulnerable to malware.

Back up all files, documents, photos, etc. onto an external drive, flash drive or a cloud storage site prior to upgrading your operating system or migrating your files to a new computer.

After April 8, if you are still on Windows XP, do not click on any links or pop-ups on your computer that claim to be from Microsoft support; they may be from scammers. Go directly to Microsoft’s website for information on how to upgrade your system.

BBB offers businesses its free Data Security – Made Simpler, a step-by-step manual to help businesses take proactive steps to secure their data and strengthen trust with their customers. “Safeguard privacy,” including protecting customer data, is one of the eight BBB Standards for Trust that accredited businesses must pledge to uphold.

Da-Les Auto Body Celebrates 10 Years on Yelp! Website

Da-Les Auto Body Celebrates 10 Years on Yelp! Website

Sunnyvale, Ca (PRWEB) March 04, 2014

Da-Les Auto Body, an auto body shop in Sunnyvale, Calif., is currently celebrating 10 years on Yelp! Over the course of the past decade, Da-Les is proud to announce that they have maintained a solid 4-star rating on the popular website, which allows consumers to post honest reviews of various businesses.

As a new blog on the Da-Les Auto Body website notes, Dave Ressa, the owner of the auto body shop, is proud of his company’s outstanding and long-lasting record with Yelp! He feels the 10-year anniversary highlights the shop’s commitment to excellent customer service as well as their ability to adapt over the course of the past several years to the ever-changing technological landscape.

“In today’s business environment, every customer that comes in can be your best cheerleader or saltiest critic,” Ressa said, adding that this has become increasingly important with the influx of modern technologies, starting with Apple in their own backyard. Ressa went on to add that some online review sites are better than others, especially at determining legit versus fake reviews.

“We keep our eye on all them, we value the feedback we get as an opportunity to grow and learn,” he said.

“As computer and Internet technology has grown and expanded, from MySpace to Facebook to Google, we have made it a point to stay current—not just with trends and advances in automotive repair, but also in the wider world of communication. In this way, we have been able to better serve our clients and respond more quickly and efficiently to concerns and problems they might have.”

As the new blog explains, Yelp! was founded in 2004 in San Francisco, Calif. by Jeremy Stoppelman and Russel Simmons. Initially a local review website, it soon grew beyond the Bay Area and is now considered to be one of the best online review sites in the world.

Because customer service and feedback is so important to Ressa and everyone else who works at Da-Les, it was only natural that they would become involved with a website like Yelp! Knowing and understanding the needs and concerns of their clients is crucial for everybody at Da-Les to know how to improve the ways they do business. Thanks to sites like Yelp!, they can do just that.

“Yelp! has proven an invaluable tool for us at Da-Les Auto Body, because we can’t fix what we don’t know is wrong,” Ressa said, adding that after several years in the auto collision repair business, they are very good at what they do.

“However, we also acknowledge that there is always room for improvement, no matter how much we strive for excellence. Because of this, we look to sites such as Yelp! for customer feedback and information, not only on our strong points, but places where we can do better.”

About Da-Les Auto Body:
