If you have firefox, a useful add-on to have is BYTubeD. It allows you to download videos in bulk and you can choose at which quality also whether 720p, 1080p or higher.
I’ve used this a few times when or if I’ve lost my YouTube video archive (like to keep them backed up if for some reason my account gets hacked or something).
is it legal?
Is what safe ?
is it safe?
What is the other web program you are talking about?
Are you talking about Realplayer?
Can’t download the video from Youutube or other web program.
no worries.
i’m finding the majority of your tutorials very useful.
thanks for the advice.
Thanks for the offer, but I have more than enough different programs floating around on my computer.
The Basic Player is just fine for what I use it for.
thanks for the response, i’ve just found my copy of realplayer player gold on an external usb hard drive that i’ve barely used.
I simply installed it and now all my youtube video’s have the download option tab.
would you like a copy of rpgold? i can upload and pm it to you.
I have always found Realplayer to be an excellent program.
Most people don’t even realise the capabilities the Basic Free Player has.
Read the specs about Realplayer Gold on the website – if you need any of those extra functions then go for it.
is realplayergold any good?
Brilliant! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Okay cool, that fixed this problem!
Actually, no. I tried this and downloaded a video from youtube. However, it saves it as a flv file. Well, Vegas Movie Studio, nor my Vegas Pro recognizes it. So, I was trying to convert it to an mp4 or something like that.
I am using my psychic powers now.
My guess is that you chose to convert your video to a Playstation3 or Playstation Portable? Am I right?
These are the ONLY two profiles that are not included in the free version.
If you go to the Realplayer website they show the feature list comparisons between Basic and Premium Player.
Thanks for picking this up. Will add a note again to video.
Thanks for picking that up.
I’ll add a notation to the video to teach how to show hidden files and folders.
INSTRUCTIONS ARE:
Control Panel > Folder Options > View Tab > Advanced Settings > Show Hidden Files and Folders
Yeah, I also noticed that if you try to change the file format as you noted near the end, it won’t let me without an upgrade to Real Player Plus.
The odd thing is, I don’t have a AppData folder under my user name. Could it be hidden? If so, how do I find it?
