Riverscape Introduces Colorado to New Business Model For PC, Wireless & Internet Consulting Services

Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 1, 2005

Riverscape, the digital lifestyle company, announced today the company has expanded its PC, Wireless and Internet consulting services into Denver and Boulder, serving consumers and small businesses. The company is introducing its services in Colorado with a special promotion offering on-site wireless and digital media consulting, uniquely priced as a monthly subscription service.

Riverscape’s founder and chief VoIP architect, Ronald Lewis, launched the company when he realized there was a whole new market opportunity traditional tech consulting companies either hadn’t thought of or decided to ignore.

“A lot of people are hesitant to use the full multimedia and Internet capabilities of their PCs. First, there’s an obvious lack of knowledge,” said Lewis. “But underneath that is the perception that technology evolves at such a fast pace, they’ll never understand it at more than a basic level.”

Lewis continued, “And frankly, the typical technical support company doesn’t go out of its way to change those beliefs. Rather, keep the client’s business by reinforcing the idea that technology is a minefield best left for the professionals to navigate. Provide hardware and installation services, but don’t try to educate – just wait for the inevitable call the next time something goes wrong.”

With wireless computing and Internet phone services like Vonage becoming increasingly visible to the public, many would-be users are unsure if the advertisements promising anywhere wireless Internet usage or drastically reduced long distance phone bills are a reality. Or which service to pick, or what hardware is needed, how to install it and effectively use either.

Riverscape’s mission is to completely change the client’s mindset about his or her ability to use the Internet’s powerful, low cost communication tools.

The company sends its trainers to individual and small business clients who want to take advantage of communicating via the Internet through long distance calling and faxing, wireless computing, or sharing data through websites and blogs, but are unsure where to start – or how. Riverscape trainers guide their clients through the entire process – from acquiring the right service, software or hardware, to confidently using the new capability.

“We lead them ‘into the light,’ so to speak. We teach them how to embrace the digital lifestyle,” Lewis said. “And we do this in person, where they are most comfortable – in their home or office location.”

Riverscape also offers traditional and remote technical consulting services like PC problem resolution and network support – and indeed, that’s how the company is often introduced to its clients. But Riverscape’s consultants make a point of educating their clients on what caused the problems and how to avoid or resolve them in the future.

As a special incentive to attract the Colorado market, Riverscape is currently offering techical support and training services in the client’s home or office at a subscription rate starting as low as $ 35 a month for consumers and $ 150 a month for small business owners – considerably less than the average phone bill for either.

Clients will also be able to use Riverscape as their one-stop shop for broadband phone and other VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) services and hardware, wireless computing, and even website and blog domain registration.
